I'm fascinated by the way individuals form a group in old black-and-white pictures. How has this social process changed through time? What does the photograph mean to the new position of the new generation?
This is a collection of images from 1900 till 2010. What is the new position of the teacher, who has had a much more dominant role in the past than nowadays. What are the changing differences between girls and boys – and those individuals in between? Also body language and face expressions have changed: are we more comfortable in front of a camera or is it perhaps something else? The New Generation is an initial phase of work in process.
